Frequently asked questions
Which bikes does the TC1000 2.0 fit?
The SurRon Light Bee (Segway X260), SurRon Ultra Bee and Talaria MX3, MX4, Sting R and MX5. Each bike has its own plug-and-play kit in the webshop.
Does it work with my stock battery?
Yes. The TC1000 2.0 supports 60–80 V (22S) packs, which covers stock SurRon batteries, and it keeps communication with your stock BMS. For larger high-voltage packs, see the TC1000 2.0 HV (up to 96.2 V). Use Build My Setup to confirm the correct configuration for your exact bike and battery.
What makes it more powerful than other controllers?
The TC1000 2.0 delivers up to 50 kW (60 kW HV) at 1000 A phase current, and like every TORP controller it keeps talking to your bike's stock BMS, which no other aftermarket brand does, so it unlocks that power without bypassing your battery's protection. Aftermarket ANT BMS support is coming soon.
Does it keep my bike's factory features?
Yes, TORP controllers are the only ones on the market that keep your factory features working: kick stand sensor, crash sensor, power mode button, brake switch and the stock display. On the SurRon Ultra Bee, the TC1000 2.0 is also the only controller that keeps factory traction control.
Can I change settings myself?
Yes, through the TORP app on iOS and Android over Bluetooth. The controller ships pre-calibrated and receives regular firmware updates.
What's the difference between TC1000 2.0 and 2.0 HV?
The HV version supports higher-voltage batteries (up to 96.2 V / 26S vs 80 V / 22S) and delivers up to 60 kW vs 50 kW. Choose HV only if you run a high-voltage pack.
