A bigger controller doesn't automatically mean more power. On the listed stock-battery, stock-motor Light Bee and Talaria setups, both controllers have the same estimated output. The battery and motor determine how much of the controller's capability you can use.

Keeping the stock motor? TC500 is a strong starting point. It also supports TM25. Choose TC1000 if a TM40 Pro is part of your plan.

Peak estimates, not guaranteed output. Battery current capability, state of charge, temperature and settings affect what your bike can deliver. A battery's voltage label alone does not establish compatibility.
Talaria battery check: Greenway packs support BMS communication. SCUD packs do not. Read the model-specific guidance.

The TM25 works with both controllers. On an 80 V pack, the listed estimates are 30 kW with TC500 and 31 kW with TC1000. A TM25 upgrade alone doesn't require replacing your TC500.
Plan a TM25 setupTM40 Pro pairs with TC1000. The 80 V setup is estimated at up to 50 kW. Plan the battery and drivetrain for the complete build; fitting the controller alone won't deliver that figure.
Plan a TM40 Pro setupBoth TM50 motors pair with TC1000: Pro emphasizes torque, Speed emphasizes RPM. The listed 80 V setups reach up to 50 kW. Factory traction control stays available.

Battery current is drawn from the pack. Phase current is delivered to the motor; a 1000 A phase-current limit does not mean the battery must supply 1000 A.
On the listed Light Bee and Talaria stock setups, both controllers have the same estimated peak system power. Choose TC1000 if your future setup needs its motor compatibility or extra current capability. On the Ultra Bee, TC1000 is the compatible TORP option; TC500 does not fit.
