Plug-and-play in five steps
Every TORP kit uses your bike's existing connectors and keeps the stock BMS, sensors and display working. Most riders are done in under an hour, many in under 20 minutes.
- 1
Fit the kit
Mount the controller and connect the bike-specific wiring harness, brackets and shield from your kit. Before closing the main connectors, apply the dielectric grease included in the kit: it seals out water, and water damage without it is not covered by the warranty. Everything uses the bike's existing connectors, no cutting or splicing.
- 2
Keep the fuse
Always run the controller with a working fuse or circuit breaker. The stock DZ47-125 is rated 100 A continuous; a fuse should be rated 150 to 250 A. It's a safety device (not a switch), and it's required for your warranty.
- 3
Connect the app
Download the free TORP app on iOS or Android and pair with the controller over Bluetooth. Make sure the controller's green light is on.
- 4
Calibrate
Lift the rear wheel off the ground, then run the guided calibration in the app, the wheel spins during the run. Calibration is required before your first ride and again after every firmware update.
- 5
Pick your mode & ride
Choose your ride mode, tune the power to taste, and go. You can fine-tune anytime from the app.
Always use a fuse or circuit breaker
Correctly rated, positioned and functional. Running the controller without one can cause damage and voids the warranty. Which breaker or fuse to run.
