Every TORP controller keeps talking to your bike's stock BMS, so it safely unlocks more power from the pack you already own than other controllers can reach, with its built-in protection still active.
A higher-voltage 72 V or 80 V pack lifts the ceiling considerably, on the TC500 2.0 and the TC1000 2.0. The controller stays the same either way, so the battery is an upgrade you can make later.
Both fit the SurRon Light Bee with the correct bike-specific kit. TC500 works with the stock motor or a TORP TM25. TC1000 also supports the TM40 Pro. With the stock battery and motor, both controllers have the same quoted power, so choose with your future setup in mind.
Compare TORP controller specificationsYes. TC500 and TC1000 work with the Light Bee's stock battery and motor. Available power depends on the battery, motor and settings. An aftermarket battery can unlock more power; it is not required just to fit a TORP controller.
The TM25 and TM40 Pro are the TORP motor options for the Light Bee. TM25 works with TC500 or TC1000; TM40 Pro pairs with TC1000. Check the battery requirements and estimated output of the complete setup before choosing a motor.
